The botanical name of Chamomile is Matricaria chamomilla. It is a small, perennial herb that can reach up to 25 cm in height. This perennial herb contains daisy-like flowers, hairy stems, and feathery pinnate leaves.

Chamomile German hydrosol is extracted from flowering tops of Matricaria recutita through the hydro distillation process. Some other names of this floral water are Scented Mayweed, Hungarian Chamomile, and Wild Chamomile. It has a sweet and dry, floral fragrance that resembles the actual flowering plant with medium viscosity.

This floral water is known as one of the gentlest and effective anti-inflammatories of all the hydrosols available in the market. As a result, many aromatherapists recommend it to use on your eyes in case of allergies. It is full of water-soluble ingredients and also contains chamomile essential in a very small amount.
