The botanical name of this Buchu oil is Agathosma betulina, previously it was known by the name Barosma betulina. It is a flowering plant that belongs to the family Rutaceae. The Buchu oil is known to be native to the southwest regions of Africa. It is in use mainly because of its medicinal benefits.
