The botanical name of Borage oil is Borago officinalis, however, it is also known as starflower. The Borage plant is an annual herb which belongs to the family Boraginaceae. This flowering plant is a native to the Mediterranean region and is also specifically found in China. Borago officinalis grows up to a height of 60–100 cm, and is covered with hairs all over the stem and leaves. The leaves are simple with 5–15 cm in length. The flowers are Light yellow to golden yellow liquid in color
